Site Hiatus

Well I haven’t made any updates the last few days. I am just one news junkie full-time uni student with a job on the side running this thing so it gets hard at times. This site takes a lot of effort and energy to run. Heaps.

I’m putting the site on temporary hiatus. During the break I hope to re-plan things a little, maybe come back with a new format, features, etc. but no promises for now.

Comments, suggestions, etc. are more than welcome.

Theme Change, a New Page, and a Cry for Help

Just a couple of things. I’m sure regular readers will have noticed the theme change. Its not just sexy, its also more functional! On the right we now have a search funtion and direct links to the RSS feeds for new entries and comments. Syndicate away!

I’ve also taken this post about Commonwealth Games traffic changes and made it into a page which is accessible at the top of the site for easy access.

One more thing. Austalian news updates haven’t been published lately due to my rather hectic schedule. If anyone would like to volunteer some of their time to make these updates (I’m guessing ~30 mins/day), please contact me.

Notice of Impending Update

Hi. I’m really, really, really sorry for the lack of updates peoples. Things have gotten so darn hectic around that its plain nasty. I’m gonna have to read ‘Still I Rise’ and get the hell on with things. Expect an update tomorrow night. I’m laying it on the line; Its gotta happen tomorrow night.

Change in Update Schedule

Terribly sorry about the state of the updates at the moment. I’ve been leaving for work earlier and finishing work later and all manner of other time and energy-consuming things.

I’m changing the daily site-update from being in the morning before before 8am to at night, before midnight. This isn’t going to have any real effect on news reports as the daily update schedule will be maintained.

Delayed News Posting

I apologise for the delayed news update today. I’ve been plagued by computer issues for the last few days and several iterations of the World News post were written before one was fianlly able to be commited to publication.

Some Info re: Site Updates

News updates for this site take some time to do. I work pretty long days, but an early morning and a late night update is possible. Thing is though, not much news happens between those six or so hours. Also, with uni starting soon so I’m going to be pretty pressed for time. That being said, I think now is a more important time than any to get myself into an updating rhythm. So from now on the plan will be to update this site with the world and Australian news once a day before 8am, Melbourne time. That’s the deal. I’m gonna try hold myself to it and if I don’t, feel free to hurl abuse, etc.
